I’d thoroughly recommend the basic bushcraft day at Padworth hut. Fun day, plenty of skills learned to give you ideas for sessions, and good team building for leaders! Thanks to Cathryn, Vince and Richard.

It was our first ‘face to face’ Group activity for nearly two years and the comments, photos and enjoyment/smiles/fun on the faces of the young people – made it all worthwhile. In fact, the opportunity for Leaders to enjoy working together again was not something I had particularly planned or expected – but was a significant bonus!
And this was all, in a major way, due to the activities (organisation, planning, preparation and delivery) provided by Small Fire, Big Adventure. This made a huge difference to the diversity of activities that we could provide – I could not have sourced, planned or even ‘manned’ that range of things to do.
It’s not particularly relevant, but as I also ‘technically’ stood down as GSL (still got plenty of paperwork and things to finish off!) on Sunday, I feel that I have ‘gone out on a high’!!
So once again, thank you for everything that made Sunday such a positive and successful day!
